Considering Bariatric Surgery? WATCH THIS FIRST
If you're thinking about bariatric surgery, let's explore another effective option first.
GLP-1 medications offer weight loss results similar to bariatric surgery, with patients losing up to 20-25% of their body weight-without surgical risks. Surgery carries complications like anesthesia issues, wound healing delays, and blood clots. Plus, many patients are advised to lose weight before surgery for safety.
With GLP-1 medications, you can achieve significant weight loss safely. We've helped tens of thousands of patients, including those pre- and post-surgery, reach their goals.

    It's my second week on these shots. I lost 6lbs. However, it took work. Cutting carbs, sodas, and sweets. Shots just boost weight loss. A day after shot, my stomach burns. Dont know what that mean. Update as of end of second week. I gained 3lbs. I am so discouraged. I eat 1 meal a day. Makes no sense. I am done.

    Why am i gaining weight on metformin??

    • @l.b.1952
      @l.b.1952 Місяць тому

      Hi there, first time I tried metformin I gained weight. I stopped.....I tried again recently and now its working - but now I take the the retard version. Maybe you can give it a try? Also: eat clean, avoid sugars, lemonades and fast food. Try to eat healthy. Drink a lot of water!! Very important. Try light exercise. I also do IF (18/6) and some days dinner canceling as I am not hungry. Mind: Its not only taking Metformin and make no change in lifestyle. That wont work. Also mind you starting weight. If you are not really overweight, it might not work so fast.I need to take it at least a few weeks before seeing results....just some of my tips. My calorie intake is about 1300-1500 kcal a day. Do not go below 1000 kcal pls - you blood sugar will drop too strong when taking Metformin then. I take 500 mg the first week, 1000 mg from the second week on (one midday with lunch, one in the evening after meal or on empty stomach if I am not eating in the evening) - leave at least 6 hours in between taking the 2 pills. Also mind your menstruation cycle: start taking Metformin after your period, never shortly before or during your period. Can make a big changes - its all about hormone levels!

    TLDR: Staying hydrated and managing side effects can help individuals on a weight loss program with gop1 medications to achieve their goals. 00:00 😷 If you're on a weight loss program with gop1 medications and experiencing dehydration, fatigue, and nausea, it may be due to slowed gastric motility. 00:26 💧 Stay hydrated to alleviate semaglutide side effects like dry mouth and jitteriness, and consider using an appetite suppressant to aid in weight loss. 00:50 🥤 Try our variety pack of shakes and hydration supplements to find the right flavor and balance for you. 01:16 🥤 Mix the wild berry refresher with sparkling water for a refreshing drink, and consider adding ice, herbs, or nuts for extra flavor and protein. 01:51 🍏 Add low calorie fruits or vegetables to shakes for better nutrition and taste, as they may differ from store-bought options. 02:32 💧 Stay hydrated and stick to weight loss goals with tailored assistance and options for everyone.

    TLDR: GLP1 medications, like semaglutide, have surprising benefits for weight loss, cardiovascular risk, and psychiatric conditions in addition to improving blood sugar control in diabetics. 00:00 💡 Gp1 medications, like semaglutide, not only control blood sugar but also have other benefits. 00:36 💡 GLP1 medications help to clean up extra blood sugar, protect beta cells, and maintain insulin sensitivity for better blood sugar control in diabetes. 01:33 💡 Semaglutide has surprising benefits for weight loss and cardiovascular risk in addition to improving blood sugar control in diabetics. 02:00 💊 Semaglutide can decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and lower blood pressure, despite potential GI side effects. 02:39 💡 Glp1 medications can help with chronic GI conditions and decrease the risk of gallbladder attacks and complications over time. 03:20 💡 Gp1 medications come in different forms and can have benefits for psychiatric conditions. 03:52 🤯 Semaglutide has positive effects on mood, addiction, and cravings, and it's exciting to see what else it can do. 04:25 👍 Glp1 medication is suitable for many patients for weight loss, so consider a consultation with a medical provider at Options Medical Weight Loss.

    Here is a male point of view. Let me start by saying that I actually do not agree with Oprah on many of her views but could not be more thankful for her show on this topic. I wish she would have called me because I’ve been trying to share my story for a year now and I tell everyone that will listen. I began Mounjaro injections at 58 1/2 years old. One month at 2.5mg, three months at 5mg, and a final month back at 2.5mg. I lost 50 lbs in 5 months. 20% of my body weight. I had previously tried EVERY diet and exercise routine available, some to a fault health wise. Nothing worked long term. I felt like they described in Oprah’s video. ALWAYS thinking about food along with a constant intense sugar addiction. I found myself exercising to just allow for more eating. I did the Mounjaro program upon urging from my Dr due to worsening comorbidities but mostly increased intense pain from worsening fatty liver disease. I am now off ALL medications. It’s been one year and I’ve only recently gained 5 -10 lbs back which could be some muscle due to increased activity. I consider myself lucky because at the end of my program, I was just cut off cold turkey with no options. Had I not caught this window of opportunity, I would still be struggling. I’ve had one of the best years of my life this past year. It seems sudden regulations at that time drastically changed the landscape, outright preventing me from obtaining any additional medication. I am now beginning to feel my sugar addiction slowly returning and I’m afraid without this medication I will eventually return to my former condition. I find this to be completely outrageous. Oprah’s show sounded like they suggested that this medication is like hormone replacement therapy for those who lack the hormone for satiety. They also mentioned that it would likely be needed forever for those it helps. All I can say is that this medication was the PERFECT solution for me and something I wished I had for decades. I have my theories as to why a medication that gets you off other medications would be prevented but I’ll not go “there.” If ever given a platform, I will do everything in my power to fight for this option for those who need it.

    Another boohoo Oprah weight loss special with the obligatory weight loss industry shills. Another pseudo-scientific "it's not my fault I'm over-weight i got it from my mother" excuse. Grow up. Nothing on the horrendous side effects - constant projectile vomiting, unending nausea & debilitating explosive diarrhea. ABSOLUTELY nothing about the positive effect these drugs have on Diabetes 2, which is what these drugs were originally designed for. I did OZEMPIC 2.5 mg to 5.0 mg for six months for my DIABETES 2 and I had to stop due to the increasingly bad side effects - constant projectile vomiting, unending nausea & debilitating explosive diarrhea. On the advice of my doctors as well as my pharmacists & some fellow DIABETES 2 sufferers, I switched to MOUNJARO 2.5 mg to 5.0 mg for my DIABETES 2 eight months ago and have not suffered the Ozempic debilitating side effects. Apparently one of the active ingredients in MOUNJARO is different from the Ozempic active ingredient which may explain the difference in side effects. MOUNJARO has lowered my excessively high blood sugar A1C from 10+ to 6+, which for me is a life-saver. Since I previously was unable to significantly lower my A1C with insulin shots & different diabetes 2 pills, I'll be on MOUNJARO for the rest of my life in an effort to avoid the DIABETES 2 traumas of blindness & extremity amputations my Dad & his mother suffered. While I dropped about 10% of my body weight due to taking MOUNJARO, I could care less about losing weight as long as MOUNJARO keeps my A1C levels low. *** What has been lost in all the hoohah about weight loss is that both MOUNJARO & Ozempic cause the pancreas to produce more insulin, which is why these drugs are so good for treating DIABETES 2. *** Screw the weight loss & the boohoo Oprah specials. I’ll rely on working out & watching my diet to maintain a good weight & I’ll use MOUNJARO solely to treat my DIABETES 2.

    I agree... that is way too low. 4 fingers is too far and i saw her get progressively lower each time she touched her shoulder, on top of that. Her "landmark" was like an inch under her 4 fingers, and then she put the needle another inch below that. Its like she was extremely afraid of being too high up so she was over compensating. I've always been told 2 fingers

    Wow- I’m on day one of Phentermine. Around 5:30am, I took a half of pill per my doctors instruction- to make sure that there were no side effects. Almost immediately it kicked in. I tried to go back to sleep for an hour before work, I couldn’t. Felt like I wanted to get up and do jumping jacks. My stomach felt a bit weird for a moment- Iike a stomach ache was coming on- but it never did. I went to work and wasn’t hungry the entire day. I forced myself to eat half a vegan burger around 3pm, but just couldn’t finish it. I didn’t think anything of it. Got home around 7pm- wasn’t hungry. It’s now 9pm and I just realized that I really haven’t eaten today. Just forced down a protein shake and I barely could swallow it. Appetite is GONE. That’s what brought me here. Now I see that it’s an effect of the medicine. My doctor didn’t tell me this. She only told me that it would give me energy. Crazy- I only took half a pill…
